Biden says he believes Democrats, Republicans can work together to find out what happened on Jan. 6.
That came hours after Nancy Pelosi rejected 2 Republicans who were picked for the House committee.
Biden says getting rid of the filibuster would 'throw the entire Congress into the chaos.'
But the president said a push to protect voting rights shouldn't be all about the filibuster.
The events of Jan. 6 affected Democrats and Republicans alike. Representatives from both parties were threatened and attacked. For the Republicans especially, that should have been a serious wake-up call, because the former President, who is part of their own party, organized and sent those rioters to the Capital. The FBI could use bipartisan effort to successfully prosecute them.
