Stacy Abrams has announced her support of Senator Manchin's provisions to the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act. Abrams states that the provisions are reasonable, and reflect a thorough understanding for how both bills can be most effective in expanding voting access, and uphold the integrity of the Congressional legislative process. Manchin's proposals will make Election Day a holiday, ban gerrymandering, mandates at least 15 consecutive days of early voting and institutes a voter ID requirement that includes a utility bill as an alternative.
