Veil is REYETS’ privacy tool. It helps you get AI support while sharing fewer personal details.
What is Veil?
It checks your message on this device and replaces details it finds, like names and phone numbers, with labels before sending.
A simple example
You write: My name is Maya.
After Veil: My name is [PERSON_1].
The label takes the place of the name.
Veil can miss names and other details in any language. You can check and edit your message before sending.
Who receives my message?
REYETS sends the checked conversation to OpenAI, the company that provides the AI replies.
OpenAI may keep what you send for safety checks for up to 30 days, or longer for legal or safety reasons. Read OpenAI’s data policy ↗
What does it look for?
Names, phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses and identity numbers. It only replaces details it recognizes. Spelling, language and context can affect what it finds.
What stays on my device?
Your original draft and the list linking labels to your details stay on this device. Files, photos and recordings are not attached to this AI chat. You may still see your own name here because REYETS puts it back for you to read.
What about my location?
Veil can hide specific places it recognizes. Your state or country may remain. If you choose an area for guidance, that country, state and optional city are shared with the AI. Exact device coordinates are not sent to REYETS or the AI. For web research, REYETS searches by topic and US state. Your story and files are not included in the search.
Does this make me anonymous?
No. Details Veil misses, or the story itself, may still identify you. It does not hide details inside photos, documents or recordings. It cannot protect information visible on an unlocked device or guarantee protection from a legal request.
Do I need a newer phone?
This explanation and Veil’s text check run in REYETS without an extra app or download. AI replies need an internet connection. If voice input is unavailable on your device, you can still type.
Is my conversation saved?
REYETS does not save this conversation on its server. Your chats and prepared documents save automatically in encrypted storage on this device. You can rename, archive or delete chats. They are not backed up to your REYETS account. Deleting a chat does not delete documents in My records or information already received by another company.
When you use voice.
REYETS uses an AI voice made with Fish Audio. If you turn on spoken replies, Fish receives the reply text after Veil checks it. Your microphone recording, files and the list linking labels to your details are not sent to Fish. Fish may keep the text and the audio it creates under its privacy policy.
On iPhone, dictation turns speech into text on your device. Some browsers use another company’s speech service. We ask before using it, because that service may receive your speech before Veil can check the words. Voice input currently uses English. If it is unavailable on your device, you can still type. The microphone is off between turns, and you can stop speech at any time.
Your saved records.
Saved records and files are encrypted on your device. This makes the stored files harder to read without the key. There is no separate app lock. Someone with access to your unlocked app may still read them. Deleting the app or clearing your browser storage can remove your records.
You choose what to share.
You choose which records and files to export. Exports include the record title, topic and dates. Files may also include hidden details, such as where a photo was taken. Recipients can keep or copy what you send. A draft letter is not sent or filed automatically.
Accounts and backup.
When you sign in, Supabase stores your account email, sign-in identity and session information for REYETS. Google sign-in uses basic identity information; it does not connect your inbox, files or calendar. Those connections need separate permission.
Backup is optional and still being tested. Only records you choose are sent to REYETS’ Supabase service. Server administrators may be able to access them. Keep another copy of important records. Existing accounts and records from the old app have not been migrated.
Removing your information.
You can delete individual records or start account deletion in Account. Account deletion removes private cloud records, sign-in access and connected-service credentials. Shared organizational work remains for other members. Local chats and files stay on your device until you remove them in Settings. Files you export or share elsewhere remain with their recipients. Hosting backups and security logs may persist under the hosting provider’s retention settings; deletion is not a guarantee that every historical copy disappears immediately.
Other services and your privacy.
The companies that host REYETS and handle sign-in may receive information about your connection and account access. We have not added advertising trackers or tools that record your screen. Google connections are optional and still being tested. When available, you can choose to create a Google document, an unsent Gmail draft or a calendar reminder after reviewing it. Google receives only the content you approve. REYETS stores encrypted connection credentials and action receipts on its server; it can decrypt the credentials to carry out your chosen action. It does not browse your inbox. Disconnecting removes the connection; copies already created in Google remain there. On iPhone, you can ask the device to find your area, check it and choose to use it. REYETS does not save exact coordinates or track location in the background. In the browser, choose your area by typing it. Connections to our other products are not active.
REYETS and FiftyOne AI.
REYETS has been acquired by FiftyOne AI, the company behind Veil. REYETS remains a separate legal entity. This does not automatically share your records with other FiftyOne AI products.
